What delivery costs

Delivery within South Africa is a flat R95 per order. Orders of R1 599 or more ship free.

The delivery fee is calculated on your cart total after any discount, and it is always shown as a separate line before you are asked to pay. Nothing is added after that.

How long it takes

Orders placed before midday on a business day are usually packed the same day. Anything after that, or over a weekend, is packed the next working day.

Once your parcel leaves us, the courier's estimate is 3–5 business days. Outlying areas can add a day or two, and December is slower everywhere.

We do not dispatch on weekends or public holidays. An order paid on a Friday afternoon leaves on the following Monday.

Where we deliver

We deliver anywhere in South Africa that our courier reaches, which is effectively the whole country including outlying towns and farm addresses.

We do not currently ship outside South Africa. If you are elsewhere and want our oils, write to us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Making sure it arrives

Most delivery problems start with the address, so a few things genuinely help:

  • Give a street address where somebody is present during working hours. Couriers deliver between 8am and 5pm on weekdays, and a home address with nobody in it is the most common reason a parcel goes back to the depot.
  • A work address is usually the better choice, and complexes and estates need the unit number and the gate or access details.
  • Check your phone number. The courier calls it, and a wrong digit turns a delivery into a return.

If a delivery fails twice, the parcel comes back to us. We will contact you to arrange another attempt. A second delivery to a corrected address is charged again, because the courier charges us again.

Tracking your parcel

You get an email when your order is confirmed and another when it is dispatched. The dispatch email carries the tracking details.

You can also check the current status of any order on your account page at any time.

If something arrives damaged

Glass travels well until it does not. If a bottle arrives broken or leaking, photograph it before you clean anything up, and tell us within 48 hours of delivery. We replace breakage in transit, and the photograph is what lets us claim from the courier rather than argue with you about it.
